<p>In part 1 of the Basic Bodybuilding Nutrition Program I covered proper nutrient intake of protein, carbohydrates, fat, and water. And the amounts of each that you should be consuming daily based on your individual needs and fitness goals. In part 2 I&#8217;m going to outline some practical ways that you can fit a healthy eating plan into your busy lifestyle. </p>
<p>The whole idea of eating 6 well-balanced meals per day is by no means a new concept. Most of you who are reading this already have a good idea of how you should be eating. But for the majority of people the main excuse is they don&#8217;t have the time to eat properly. </p>
<p>But this is just not the case. Eating a &#8220;junk-food&#8221; diet probably takes just as much or more time then it does to eat a healthy diet. At lunch time getting in your car and heading on over to the fast food joint, waiting in line at the drive through, and then heading back to work takes a lot more time then if you had your food prepared in advance and ready to eat. </p>
<p>The key to successfully following a healthy bodybuilding nutrition program is planning ahead. When you cook your food always prepare for several meals. It doesn&#8217;t take any more time to cook larger quantities of food then it does to cook smaller amounts of food for just one meal. Purposely plan to have left overs that you can re-heat in the microwave, this saves time and makes it easier to have quick nutritious meals on hand. I&#8217;ll often grill several steaks at a time, cook several chicken breasts at a time, bake several potatoes at a time, cook up a large pot of rice, etc. </p>
<p>A Well Stocked Kitchen </p>
<p>In order to prepare and eat healthy nutritious meals you need to have the necessary kitchen supplies. Get yourself a good set of pots, non-stick frying pans, measuring cups and spoons, food scale, a good set of kitchen knives, blender, kitchen grill (such as the George Foreman grill), electric kettle, good spatulas and other cooking utensils like tongs, ladel spoons, etc. These are the basic tools that you&#8217;ll need to prepare your meals.</p>
<p>For packing and storing your food you will also need to get some plastic food storage containers. Get a half dozen smaller sized containers for packing individual meals. And also get a few bigger containers that you can use for storing left overs in the refrigerator. Make sure to get good containers with tight fitting lids so they will not pop open easily.</p>
<p>Get a couple shaker bottles for mixing up protein drinks and also get an insulated lunch bag or small hand held cooler for taking your food with you to work. You will be able to get all of these kitchen supplies at places like Wal-Mart for a fair price.</p>

Note: for the Italian alternative, I would eliminate the Chinese flavorings (Soy Sauce, meat, sesame oil, and egg) in favor of more garlic and Italian seasoning and spices.  For Induction, you are limited to 1 cup of Cauliflower per day.<br />

<p>Here is the ingredients:<br />
2 TBS Cooking oil<br />
4 slices Bacon<br />
1 Medium Size head of Cauliflower (~2 pounds), grated<br />
2 cloves garlic, minced<br />
4 oz of Ham<br />
1/3 cup soy sauce<br />
1 tsp sesame oil<br />
1 egg, beaten<br />
4 green onions, chopped<br />
Black Pepper to taste</p>
<p>* Heat the oil and bacon in large skillet until bacon is slightly browned.<br />
* Grate Cauliflower in Food Processor<br />
* Add Cauliflower, Ham, and Garlic and cook until the cauliflower begins to stick (internal water is evaporated) and getting browned<br />
* Add Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil, heat for 1-2 minutes<br />
* Drag Cauliflower to half of the pan<br />
* Cook beaten egg until scrambled, and mix with Cauliflower mixture.<br />
* Add Green Onion, and Pepper to taste<br />
* Cook 4-5 more minutes</p>

<p>Here is another episode in diet vs. exercise.  Today in the diet corner we once again have Brad Pilon, this time he will be snacking on 2 espresso brownies each weighing in at around 300 calories and he&#8217;ll wash that down with a 700 calorie Starbucks frappacino.</p>
<p>Representing the exercise corner, I&#8217;m going to perform a series of 1-armed kettlebell swings with a 35 pound kettlebell.</p>
<p>As Pilon gulps down the frappacino, I am working very hard at a pace neither I nor any other individuals in the gym would typically go at.  The point here is that individuals can mindlessly consume calories before and after meals and it not even register with them.</p>
<p>Now that Brad has finished off both of his snacks and consumed nearly 1400 calories, I have completed 60 snatches of the KB swings and burned about 50 calories.  Although the kettlebell swings did burn a lot of calories, in a<br />
short amount of time, it pales in comparison to the calories Pilon took in.</p>
<p>The results speak for themselves and t is very apparent that diet once again wins the battle in diet vs. exercise.  This is precisely why individuals who go to the gym and work really hard for an hour are not going to burn fat if<br />
they are consuming so many calories mindlessly.  You just can&#8217;t out train a bad diet.</p>

<p>To conclude, it appears that protein intake under 2. 8 g.kg does not impair renal function in well-trained athletes as indicated by the measures of renal function used in this study.  For example, Nguyen et al. found that high intakes of animal protein adversely affected markers of stone formation in those afflicted with a stone causing disorder, while no changes were observed in healthy individuals. It has been suggested that one must have a preexisting metabolic dysfunction before dietary protein can exert an effect relative to stone formation.</p>
