If you consider running, for example, there is the danger of putting strain on your joints but the contemporary running shoes have helped to reduce this. Alas, with many types of cardiovascular exercise, you run the risk of injuring your body whether it’s a minor sprain or a more chronic injury. Swimming does not leade to this type of injury and, hence, it is common for injured athletes to take up swimming to help them stay in shape.

Other than doing some basic preparation and planning, it doesn’t take much to begin a swimming exercise program. For serious swimming, you should invest in special swimwear as well as a pair of goggles and possibly a swimming cap. Additionally, you will want to find a swimming pool where you can swim lengths with little to no interruption and this may restrict the times you can go or require a private membership of a club. As soon as you are ready to begin your swimming program, you’ll need to go two to three times every week in order to make the best progress. This site has some great aerobics exercise tips.

The kind of swimming you do in the pool can be varied in order for you to stay motivated and to work your body in different ways. For instance, there may be days when you want to swim as fast as you can and some days when you want to do short sprints interspersed with fast swimming. You also have the option to use different swimming strokes and even add swimming aids to your program as you get better.

If swimming is a component of your cross training fitness program, you can create gym exercises that will aid you with your swimming techniques. By directing your focus on your efforts on certain muscles and flexibility, your swimming technique will get better and, along with it, your motivation to keep on with your swimming exercise plan. A real benefit you will also get is what is called a swimmer’s body which means you will look great and feel fantastic.

Wthout a doubt, swimming provides fantastic cardiovascular benefits as well as the certainty that your body is in great shape.

Preheat oven to 400F.

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, onion, garlic, parsley, paprika and cayenne. Season with salt and black pepper.

Take about two tablespoons of meat mixture and roll between the palms of your hand to form a meatball about the size of a golf ball.

Place meatballs on a rimmed baking sheet lightly coated with cooking spray. Pop them in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked through.

While the meatballs are baking, heat the hot sauce in a large skillet. Toss the baked meatballs in the hot sauce to coat.

Serve the meatballs with celery and carrot sticks and a side of your choice (I chose brown rice).
