Plus, you’ll discover the 10 foods NOT to eat on a weight loss diet.

Hi! I’m Kardena Pauza from EasyVeggieMealPlans.com.

Today we are getting ready to go to the airport on a last minute trip. This is a great opportunity for me to show you what I do to prepare for a long trip. I want to bring a lot of healthy and easy to prepare foods for trips like these.

I took some vegetables from my refrigerator and chopped them up (it took me about 15 minutes of prep time) into a vegetable salad. This will last us for 2 days (broccoli, spinach, beets, asparagus, radishes, fresh corn). It’s a light salad that will work for us because we aren’t going to be very active on this trip. This salad is full of nutrients and will make us feel very light and energized.

Keep in mind if you are traveling on a plane, you can bring food, but not liquids. So, instead of storing my dressing in a container, I’m going to drizzle it on my salad and take it with me that way. This is my favorite quick and easy salad dressing, which you can find in my Easy Veggie Meal Plans, which you can get online. I make it by drizzling some sunflower seed oil, agave nectar and amino acids for the salt and fresh-squeezed lemon juice. It’s great!

You can take a lot of healthy snacks on the plane (vegetables, nuts, seeds). I’m also going to pack some celery sticks and cucumbers. I sprinkle a little bit of seasoning on a cucumber which is great. It’s packed with fiber so it is a filling snack as well.

I’m also going to bring along my rice protein powder which I have packed in a little Tupperware container. I put enough in my container for a couple of days. We may have this for breakfast or a snack when we are out running around. I also have some raw flax seed crackers I’m going to bring along. I use these on my salad in place of croutons and also eat them with salsa. You can get these at health food stores.

I also have some nectarines and fresh almonds, which I’ve soaked in water. I’ve got some raw food and green bars which are very tasty and a seaweed snack.

Here we are at the airport after we’ve checked in. We’ve had a long day and are catching a red-eye flight so we are starving! I’ve got my great salad that I prepared earlier in the day with my quick and easy salad dressing. The salads at the airport are no good and so expensive, so it’s a good thing we came prepared!

Fat won’t make you fat, but low fat, high carb diet sure will.

It’s very hard to maintain weight on a vegetarian diet unless it’s extremely low calories. It’s almost impossible to lose weight even with low calories. The blood stream needs to be free of insulin before fat will be released.

I’m not trying to convert anyone to being a meat eater only health conscious. Starches, sugar, fruit do not promote weight loss, they do promote weight gain. As a vegetarian you need to be vigilant to meeting your protein requirements. I have major concerns about soy products effecting thyroid health. If you could add eggs to your diet, that would solve a multitude of problems.

I would suggest you convert your diet to more of a fat based (mainly coconut oil & olive oil) diet with much more low glycemic vegetables. Stay vigilant about meeting your protein requirements but try to keep your carbs <9grams per hour. I would suggest not eating many starches that don’t significantly contribute to protein requirements. Significantly increase your consumption of nuts (peanuts are a legume not a nut – peanuts are fine, just realize the difference), flax seeds, chia seeds, spirulina.

Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice & beans) trigger insulin which can store the calories eaten into fat. The more protein the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.

High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger & unbalance other hormones. Controlling insulin levels will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so lean muscle will be gained even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase muscle mass with high HGH levels.

You have chosen a way of eating that needs you to know a great deal about nutrition and how the body processes foods. I wouldn’t try to dissuade you but encourage you to educate yourself fully. Weight gain is a symptom of a problem, not the problem.

I would highly suggest chia seeds – 3.5 oz is nearly 500 calories, half calories from fat (high in Omega3 fatty acids) & 16grams of COMPLETE protein for 6grams carbs & 63% DV Calcium – 95% Phosphorus – 23% Zinc – 9% Copper – 108% Manganese.

Spirulina & chlorella are also good complete vegetarian protein sources.

I’m a vegetarian and would like to go on a weight loss diet and loose some weight. I haven’t been very healthy recently because I’ve been too busy with all my exams. Any suggestions would be good thankyou :) and i know i need to start doing more exercise :)

With any weight loss diet, vegetarian or not, the first rule is to eat a healthy, balanced diet. I suggest you find a vegetarian food pyramid and buy some vegetarian cookbooks and start planning healthy, balanced meals around the food pyramid.

Eat a low-fat, whole-foods diet. Whole foods are foods that are not processed. Whole foods do not contain food chemicals and are usually not pre-packaged. White rice, white flour and sugar are examples of processed foods.

Eliminate soda pop, sports drinks, energy drinks, coffee, alcohol, junk food and sugar from your diet. Start drinking lots of water. Your liver is the primary organ in charge of weight loss. Your liver cannot process body fat if you don’t drink lots of water. You should have a minimum of 3 liters of water per day.

Watch you fat intake. Cook with very little oil, butter, margarine and shortening. Limit fatty foods like nuts, seeds, avocados, dairy and eggs. Limit your intake of fruit juice (fruit juice is high in sugar). You can, however, eat as much fresh fruit as you like. Same with vegetables.

For exercise, you should start walking. Studies have shown that walking is much better for weight loss than cardio. Try to get about an hour per day of walking. Reduce your caloric intake.

❤ Herbal Detox Tea & Watermelon Breakfast! ❤

* I n g r e d i e n t s *
— God’s Herbs Heal-All Herbal Tea, or other herbal tea recipes of your choice http://HEAL-ALL-TEA.life-regenerator.com

— Watermelon

* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Prepare tea according to package directions.

— 2) Cut watermelon.

— 3) Drink your tea, then eat your watermelon. Yes, it is that simple!

* I n s p i r a t i o n *
— Enjoy the simplicity of whole, juicy fruits for breakfast! Try to just stick to one variety of fruit for breakfast, if you can. Simple eating is good eating. For the calorie-conscious, the calories in watermelon and other juicy fruits is very, very low…but it is not about cutting calories, it is about eating more of the healthy foods and gaining health! The foods of nature are inherently all low calorie and low fat.

— What is a “Healing Crisis,” or a “Healing Event”? When you eat more cleanly, your body begins to release old toxins that were previously clogged up in your lymphatic system. You may find yourself having to blow your nose or coughing all the time, or on the more extreme end you may have puss come out of the skin, primarily in the locations of your lymph nodes. If you don’t know what is happening, then it can be scary…but now that you know that it is simply part of the process, you can relax! Your body is just getting that stuff out of you as quickly as possible, so give thanks! ;-)

— Nature doesn’t isolate. Nature is whole and pure. She knows what she’s doing! She is infinitely intelligent, and already had it all figured out for us! Have faith in her infinite wisdom. Each fruit and vegetable is a perfectly balanced piece of nature. It is NOT about eating 100% raw. It is about eating 100% HEALTHY. Eat the food that grows off the trees, or out of the ground. It is unfortunately today possible to be 100% raw, but totally unhealthy…for example, if you are basing your diet on heavy raw foods such as nuts, pâtés, dehydrated crackers and other dehydrated foods, raw vegan ice creams and other dessert treats.
