Slim Down this Summer

This blog, the best diet for you, is put together because I don’t believe that there is one diet which is made for everyone. In the course of my life I have lost more weight than the weight of the average person. And for this reason, I have a lot of personal experience when it comes to dieting. There’ve been times in my life when I was doing asplit routine, going to the gym six days a week, three hours a work out and there have been times when I only did yoga for exercise.

I guess my obsession with diet began when I was in college. I was working as the chief of maintenance at a Ramada Inn to pay for my 10 years of college, and while sitting in my office one day, I suddenly realized that while I had taken vitamins regularly for years, I had no idea what they were. After about a quarter of a million pages of study I learned all about fats, proteins, carbohydrates, enzymes, minerals, and a whole bunch of other things that I hadn’t even realized existed. At that point I invented a diet. This may have been the perfect diet for me, and it produced miraculous results. I must have had hundreds of requests for my secret. Well the essentials of the diet were: 1) first calculate the amount of protein that should be consumed by a person who weighed your desired weight. 2) now adjust the fats and carbohydrates to that amount of protein, according to a formula that I had derived. 3) now do a bunch of other things that I don’t remember such as take polyunsaturated oil and lecithin with every meal.

Now the problem with this diet was that in those days computers filled entire rooms, instead of desktops. The amount of math required just to figure out what to eat for one day dissuaded every person that eagerly asked me for my secret. Maybe I was ahead of my time, it wasn’t entirely unlike the zone diet which came out 20 years later, but the problem was it was too complicated to be followed by the average person.

In choosing a diet you have to select one that you can, and will follow. It could be the greatest diet in the world, but if you don’t do it — so what. Now their are a lot of workable diets, but they all have different degrees of workability for each person. There are a lot of reasons for this, some as simple as if you don’t like meat don’t try to do the Atkins diet. Some are more complex, such as food allergies, for example I’m allergic to bread, or more precisely gluten, so any diet that included bread for sandwiches would not work very well for me. And some people’s metabolism just work better with one particular diet than another.

The point is that when you’re looking for the best diet for you, it is important that you gather all the data and sift through it until you find a few choices that you like. Then you need to try them and see how they work, because in my view point every body is different. You really never know what will work for you until you try it. I remember arguing one day when a coworker told me about a low carbohydrate diet. I had never heard of training your body to use fat before, so I laughed at her. I just couldn’t see how something like that could work.

Shortly thereafter, while thumbing through a copy of “Muscle and Fitness” magazine I saw an article where the author talked about getting in shape using the low carb meal plan. Now while the magazine publisher was very sure to put a disclaimer after the article, I began to think that there just might be something in my coworker’s argument. In searching for data, I found the “Anabolic Diet”, a diet developed by Canadian doctor as an attempt to help natural bodybuilders. I decided to try it because I had put on a little weight. I lost 60 pounds in three months, but at that point something went out with my metabolism in the diet stopped working for me. Since I had about 180 pounds of lean body mass at the time, it didn’t really bother me, but I did find it interesting.

To this day I’m not totally convinced that low-carb diets are good for you in the long run, but I do have to have to admit that they probably are one of the most effective diets for losing weight. But again that was for me, I had a friend who tried a low-carb diet and couldn’t do anything but gain weight. so when anyone tells you that their diet is the absolute best diet for everyone, take that with a grain of salt. I don’t believe that such a diet exists. Now since I’m a very curious person, I would actually love for someone to prove me wrong on that.

So what I will be doing in this blog, is to attempt to present you with all the information so that you can find the best diet for you.

Now this diet is most like the diet I invented in the early 70′s, except that the Zone Diet is loosely considered a low carb diet because it is lower in carbs than most traditional diets and it does help the body burn fat more easily. Sears had a broader purpose in mind when he developed the Zone Diet however, he was looking to use food as medicine. According to Dr. Barry Sears eating your foods in the 40/30/30 ratio will actually balance your hormones and provide greater health and improve athletic performance. If you read his book, you will see many impressive trials where athletic performance with increased using the zone.

There have been many successes, and a lot of people swear by the diet. Most of the diets critics are critical because the diet is difficult to follow, and not because of its ineffectiveness. I however, was impressed with how simple Dr. Sears made the diet. Remember, that many years before I had invented a somewhat similar diet with far less noble purposes, and people found that impossible to follow. Here uses techniques like, “make a fist”, in order to determine the size of the meat portion. He looks for approximation not precision, which makes his diet quite user-friendly. If however you get into precision in trying to keep the proportions of the fats, proteins, and carbohydrates in the exact ratios, you will go crazy.

Among the successes, the greatest has to be a man named Uribe, who lost nearly 1000 pounds using the zone diet and the assistance of doctors. Many celebrities have done the diet, but then again, celebrities are always doing diets. Below is a video of what a nutritionist has to say about the diet.

You might note, that the nutritionist and I share the same viewpoint about a perfect diet for everyone, but the zone diet is designed to be a very healthy diet that could be followed for the rest of your life. It’s drawbacks of course include having to plan each meal so that you get 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and 30% fat, and also there is the fact that the amount of calories you consume in one meal is limited but it isn’t terribly low, and you can always eat several meals in one day. If the diet interest you you should click the link below to go to Dr. Sears site, where you can learn more from the guy who originally wrote the book.

In 1972 Dr. Robert Atkins published a book, The New Diet Revolution, and the Atkins Diet came into being. The concept of the low carb diet was born. There have been many variations since then but the fundamentals have remained the same.
If you ever studied biology you know that the bodies cells take sugars and turn them into energy, making carbohydrates our primary energy source.  If you eat too many carbohydrates and fats the body stores these as body fat to be used later in case of an emergency. It usually takes a considerable effort to get the body to use this fat, making weight loss a bit of a balancing act- if you eat too little the body slows down its metabolism and hangs on tighter to its precious fat stores- but in order to lose weight you must use more calories than you consume.

The Atkins diet trains the body to use fat as its primary source of energy. Initially this is done by depriving the body of carbs and giving it abundant fat.  The body adapts by adjusting its metabolism to use fat and the body seeing that there is plenty of fat stops hanging on to its fat reserves making fat loss much easier.

Now this works miracles for a great number of people making weight loss easy, where they had struggled up to that point.  For that reason many people swear by low carb diets. There is much controversy over the long term health ramifications of the diet, primarily because we are talking about changing the bodies normal metabolism and the fact that the diet has an acidic effect on the body. Traditionally a healthy is slightly alkaline and intentionally making it acidic is not seen to be a good thing.

Now I personally have lost more than 100 lbs using low carb diets so I know that they work extremely well- at least for me.  I can not say anything about the long term health effects, but I have always felt very healthy when on a low carb diet.  You never get “hungry” because your body just goes to your body fat reserves when it gets “low” on food. So I definitely could recommend this diet for weight loss though  my vote is still out for making it a life style.  Many swear by it though so it can’t be all bad.

If would like more information on this diet you can go to the Atkins.com website

The book below will help you get started if you would like to give the Atkins Diet a try. If you like meat and heavy protein it is a great diet and as I said before it is very effective.  If you are like my wife and too much protein repulses you, I would keep on looking.

u know one that wont make my BG rates go out of control because of sugar or high caffine.

No, there aren’t.

http://www.turbulencetraining.com

Are you ready for a butt-kicking, fat burning workout that will give you ripped abs? This is the best fat burning ab workout you can do.

Let’s begin with the first superset which includes the Dumbbell Press Squat exercise and the Pull-up with Knee-up exercise.

For the DB Press Squat, start by holding the DB at shoulder height with your feet slightly wider than hip width apart. Next, squat down, and then drive up, while raising the DB above your head. Do all repetitions for one side,
then switch arms and do the other.

The second exercise in the first superset is the Pull-Up with Knee-Up. For this exercise, begin by taking an overhand grip, and as you pull-up, bring your knees up to your chest, and then slowly lower back down. Although a
difficult exercise to perform, this is a really great one because it’s actually two exercises in one.

If, however, you can’t do the Pull-up with Knee-up exercise, you can easily substitute high repetition dumbbell rows (20 reps per side). By doing a high number of repetitions, your body is fighting against the rotation. Therefore, if you keep proper form and do high reps, your abs will actually
feel it the next day. Just be sure to choose a weight that is very challenging, but still allows you to use proper form.

For the second superset of workout “B” in AAA Abs, you will perform the Front Loaded Bulgarian Split Squat along with an advanced version of the stability ball plank, the Stability Ball Plank Rollout.

To begin, get a dumbbell, kettlebell, or a weight plate and place it across your chest, lift one foot on a bench behind you, drop your hips straight down, keep your torso upright, and come back up. Do all repetitions for one side, and then switch over to the other side and do the same thing.

The second exercise of the superset is the Stability Ball Plank Rollout. To get in position for this exercise, place your elbows on the stability ball so that you’re body is now in a plank position with feet on the ground, and then roll the ball out and then back in. If you are unable to do this
exercise, then you can do a plank with arms on the ball. If that is still too difficult, then just do a regular plank with elbows on the floor.

For the third superset in workout “B” of AAA Abs, you will combine the One- Leg Stability Ball Leg Curl with a unique version of the side plank that includes a Dumbbell Lateral Raise.

So, for the leg curl exercise get on the floor and place one foot on the stability ball and the other straight up in the air. Next, you will curl the ball in and out, while bridging your hips up. Do all reps for one side, and then switch sides. This exercise provides a really powerful contraction for the hamstrings, and you need to work your body as a unit.

Once you’re done the leg curl exercise, you’re going to follow that up with the Side Plank with a DB Lateral Raise. Get into the side bridge position, hold the dumbbell down by your side, and then perform a side lateral raise up to the top and lower back down.

There’s still one more superset to go in workout “B” of AAA Abs. So, for this final superset you are going to combine Burpees and Chin-ups with Jumping Jacks or Running in Place.

For the first exercise of the superset, do a burpee and then immediately follow it with a chin-up. Do that for 10 repetitions and then do the jumping jacks or running in place for either 20 repetitions or 20 seconds. That is one set, so you will perform that 3 times in total.

I was recently eating larggee amounts of food probably exceeding 3000 calories. My goal was to gain muscle while lifting but i ended up gaining majority fat. So I am cutting my diet down to 1700 calories with 140g-170g of protein a day.

Will I lose muscle on this diet? and burn my fat? What caloric intake should I have otherwise to keep (or gain) muscle and burn fat!.

you need to eat 6 HEALTHY meals a day each balanced with protein and carbs 30 carbs and 30 protien in each meal dont think about calories as long as you hit 30 protien and carbs per meal you will be eating good. You would also benefit from cardio 3 times per week and weight training 3 times per week. i personally have a free day where i eat ANYTHING i want (usually a sunday)
It worked for me anyway i went from 158lbs to 133lbs in twelve weeks lost body fat, and changed my body shape by building muscle.
Hope it helps

Well I’ve spent hours on the internet searching for an answer and have not found 2 list that have the same "best" pills, which is very discouraging bc which "best" do you pick if none are the same. I probably almost ordered 5 different ones only to find another one that i thought might be better. Finally i figured out which type of pill i need and then it was easier to narrow down the list.. now about me: I am a 24 year old woman with 3 kids, ever since my mid teens i’ve always had the same build at 5’2" and 103lbs (minus being pregnant) even after having all 3 kids my weight always went back to 103. I also smoked cigarettes. Well 2 yrs ago i had a partial hysterectomy in august and then with I quit smoking that following march. Within the first month of not smoking my weight went from 103 to 112 (no biggie) and i seemed to hold onto that weight until November. Somewhere between nov and feb my weight went to 131 which i didn’t understand why bc i only ate more for the first month of not smoking and then went back to my normal eating habits. This was not okay to me… with such a small frame the 28lbs did not look good on me, it all seem to go to my belly, butt and thighs. I went from 18.8 bmi (healthy) to 23.9 (healthy but close to the max which is 24.9). So I started eating healthier, stopped drinking soda and high sugared beverages, and got a gym membership working out with a trainer 3 days a week and doing an hr on the treadmill the other 3 days with sunday being my day off. Well i did that for 3 months and stayed the same weight but did notice that my body was starting to look a little better but not enough for me.

Which has brought me here.. i know its not a great idea to start diet pills but i’m getting desperate.. my marriage, self esteem, and wallet have taken a beating.. i don’t want to smoke again bc i feel great and also believe i’ll end up with cancer like majority of my older family members that smoke. But every time i get on the scale thats all i think about is smoking to go back to my normal weight. I think when i quit smoking my metabolism lowered bc of it causing me to gain weight.. I think if i can get back to that weight it will be much easier for me to maintain the weight (which is what i’m doing now) bc by the time i realized what the soda and food was doing it was too late and i had already gained the weight. well now i want to lose weight, i would be happy at 108 which is the suggested weight for my size.

So after all the research i have decided to order ephBURN25. I know it has ephedra but they regulated how much and its low enough that if taken properly will work without being dangerous. I am gonna stay on my same diet, but unfortunately i have no time for the gym now that school is out so i am doing what i can at home. planks, plunges, squats, jumping jacks and ball exercises. I am waiting to get the pills in the mail and am very excited to start. I will update my results so that hopefully its easier for others to decide if its right for them bc its hard to know which one to get bc everything is being "sold". well this is just me trying to figure out what works for me! Thanks

To be clear, my question: Is there a fat burning pill that works. I am going to try ephBURN 25 to see if its one of them, i will update my results and come up with an answer. Please be 18 yrs or older to take my advice. I do believe diet and exercise are the best ways to lose weight and should be tried first! I am trying this to get a push bc nothing else i’ve tried is working. I’m not here to promote anything, just maybe help answer a question that doesn’t seem to be answered.

I know what you mean, i’ve wanted to try something to help but the only people that say it works are the companies that are selling them or overly positive customers which makes you think they are fake comments.
