Is it possible for a vegetarian to follow the Atkins Diet?
I know that Atkins can be unhealthy if followed for extended periods of time but I am interested in losing some weight quickly for a special occasion. What could a vegetarian eat if they were to follow this diet? I can find no books.
I can’t speak for the Atkins diet, but I can tell you that "Skinny B itch" is a great book which promotes a vegan lifestyle. There’s also a book called "Skinny B itch in the Kitch" with some really yummy recipes. Probably something you’d really be interested in. I know…The name is a complete shock, but that’s the point. It’s a great read, with lots to learn!

A vegetarian CAN follow Atkins, but it’s much harder.
BTW, Atkins IS healthy, if done right.
Here is a forum specifically for vegetarians doing Atkins and other low-carb diets.
