How fast can you lose weight on the Atkins diet?

Hi, I just wanted to know how fast you can lose weight if you were to stick to the Atkins diet… and over what span of time would you lose. Thank you!

i’m not sure… but please don’t do it. there have been so many people that have DIED from it. it’s a terribly unhealthy diet and works only temporarily.

It is a possibility to lose weight fast but you should be realistic and comprehend that if you lose weight fast then you will almost certainly put it all back on again just as fast. I lost 9 pounds for the last month when I had a wedding to attend, and I did it by following the guidance presented on the site in the box below.

You lose very quickly but, its very unhealthy as the Atkins is full of saturated fats. It congests your liver&can make you very moody-not good at this stressful time of year! It can also make you feel unwell. I am just re-training as a teacher but, my previous job was a weight management specialist, if you an get your hands on the Curves Member Guide it has a clinically proven weight management program in there, the clinical trials are very promising&have been running for 5years already. Its similar to Atkins but, a healthier version addressing cravings, mood swings&prevailing metabolism. If you cant get hold of it ask the question on Yahoo Answers,you’re one of my contacts so I know you need it&Ill send you one of mine. I had great success with my clients over 4 years, you lose about 5-7lbs in the 1st week then around 2lbs the weeks after that.

It depends on your metabolism…
But I’d say fairly quickly, definite results in the fist 2 weeks.
If you have an average to good metabolism you’ll lose between 3-10lbs a week.
If you decide to go on it, make sure you read the books. That way you start adding in carbs after your introduction diet (otherwise you’ll get bored of the food fast)
